This 10 days’ tour will take you to two countries, Rwanda and Uganda, and to four national game parks all famous for their teeming wild life. In addition to the Kigali City Tour, you will be taken for a game drive in Rwanda’s Akagera National Park; then afterwards you will cross into Uganda where you will visit Lake Mburo National Park, Queen Elizabeth National Park, as well as Bwind Impenetrable Forest National Park for tracking mountain gorillas. After spending some time visiting the Batwa communities and exploring the magnificent Lake Bunyonyi, you will then cross back into Rwanda to catch your (evening) flight back home.
The total cost is USD 3,430 PP (for the entire 10 days’ trip); it includes accommodation (full board – bed & breakfast & dinner) and personal insurance while in Uganda.The total cost of USD 3,430 for each guest includes; airport transfer on the first day and last day; professional English speaking driver guide; personal insurance cover while in Uganda; 4W Drive safari vehicles transportation; chimpanzee trekking permit; gorilla permit; drinking water while in the car, as well as self-contained accommodations (i.e. full board -bed & breakfast & dinner), and all guiding and park entry fees.
Arrive at Kigali International Airport in the morning. Later in the day, do a Kigali City Tour; visit the Genocide Memorial and Kandi House Museum. Spend the night at Marriot Hotel in Kigali.
Travel from Kigali to the Akagera National Park and do an afternoon game drive. Spend the night at Kagera Bush Camp.
If time allows do an afternoon game drive in Lake Mburo National Park. Spend the night at Arcadia Hotel or at one of the campsites in L. Mburo Game Park.
Do an afternoon game drive. Spend the night at Kasenyi Lodge in Queen Elizabeth National Park.
In the morning do a morning game drive, followed by an afternoon boat cruise on Kazinga Channel. Again spend the night at Kasenyi Lodge.
From Kasenyi Lodge travel to Bwindi Impenetrable Forest National Park via the Ishasha Sector where you might sight tree-climbing lions. Spend the night at Ruhija Lodge.
This day will be special for tracking mountain gorillas in Bwindi Impenetrable Forest. Again spend the night at Ruhija Lodge.
Spend the afternoon exploring Kabale Town and Lake Bunyonyi. Stay the night at Birdnest Resort on the shores of Lake Bunyonyi.
Visit the Islands of Lake Bunyonyi and, if time allows, the Batwa (Pygmies) communities. Again spend the night at Birdnest Resort.
From Birdsnest Hotel travel to Kigali and later on to the airport in Rwanda. In the evening catch your return flight back home.
