This amazing 7 days’ Uganda-to-Rwanda leisurely excursion will take you to Queen Elizabeth National Park for big game viewing and a boat cruise on Kazinga Channel; you will travel to Karinzu Forest for chimpanzee tracking and to Bwindi Impenetrable Forest National Park for mountain gorilla tracking; you will have time to explore beautiful Lake Bunyonyi and afterwards you will cross the border into Rwanda where you will spend a day in Kigali City before you catch your evening return flight back to your home.
The total cost is USD 2,405 PP (for the entire 7 days’ trip); it includes accommodation (full board – bed & breakfast & dinner) and personal insurance while in Uganda is inclusive. The total cost of USD 2,405 for each guest includes; airport transfer on first day and last day; professional English speaking driver guide; personal insurance cover while in Uganda; 4W Drive safari vehicles transportation; chimpanzee trekking permit; gorilla permit; drinking water while in the car, as well as self-contained accommodations (i.e. full board -bed & breakfast & dinner), and all guiding and park entry fees.
You will be picked from your hotel in Entebbe in the morning and taken to Queen Elizabeth National Park. You will be accommodated at Katara Lodge for the night.
After breakfast, you will go for chimpanzee tracking in Karinzu Forest; then you will proceed to Kasenyi Lodge for the night, and on the way, you will enjoy a game drive through Queen Elizabeth National Park.
After lunch you go on a boat cruise on Kazinga Channel. You will again stay the night at Kasenyi Lodge.
Early in the morning you will leave Queen Elizabeth National Park and travel to Bwindi Impenetrable Forest via the Ishasha Sector where you might sight the famous tree-climbing lions of Queen Elizabeth National Park. In Bwindi you will spend the night at Ruhija Lodge.
Gorilla tracking will be the highlight of the day, after which, you will proceed to Lake Bunyonyi in Kabale District where you will spend the night at Birdsnest Hotel.
You will spend most of the day exploring Lake Bunyonyi including a visit to Punishment Island. You will also enjoy canoe trekking and sightseeing the incredibly beautiful terraced countryside. Again, you will spend another night at Birdsnest Hotel.
From L. Bunyonyi you will depart for Kigali International Airport in Rwanda for your return flight back home. You will have lunch in one of the restaurants in the capital city of Rwanda and afterwards explore some parts of Kigali City and its surrounding areas as time permits. Please make sure you are booked on an evening flight so that you may have enough time to travel through Rwanda at leisure and be able to pay visits to selected places in Kigali City before departure.
