Expedition Bali offers a variety of tours that encompass history, nature and geology, all complimented by some of the most breathtaking panoramic views of natural wonders that you will be able to see with your own eyes, be it in Kintamani with Mount Batur, or one of the many waterfalls.
“I’ve seen dead people in Bali”
See a different side of Bali by visiting one of the most extraordinary cemeteries in the world.
Temples, a Goddess, dead people, boats across deep water and great food. All the hallmarks of a great movie.
THIS IS A TOUR LIKE NO OTHER YOU’LL EVER TAKE.
Your meeting point starts at the northern most point of Lake Danau Batur outside the Pura Hulundanu Batur Songan Temple. From here you’ll be taken with a guide to the edge of Lake Batur where you’ll climb aboard with the only trusted guide Expedition Bali Tours uses for this tour. There is only one. Lake Batur is nearly 16 square kilometers, has a depth of up to 88 meters, and is 1031 meters above sea level. Our trusted guide “Pak Agus” will take you across the lake over to see the great Dewi Danau statue close up. A big and bright statue, it’s a necessary place to visit before visiting the Terunyan Wall. The Hindu’s believe you must visit a holy place before visiting the Terunyan Wall, so in respecting the Hindu belief, this is what all our guests will be required to do. You wouldnt want to upset the God’s now would you. 🙂
After a brief history lesson and paying respect to the Dewi Danau Goddess, you’re off to one of the most unique places in the world, Terunyan Wall; the half way point in your tour. The donation box at the end of the jetty on the way into the Terunyan Wall is not mandatory. Our guide will be paying Rp150,000 per boat he takes over for Expedition Bali Tours. You can still pay something if you like, however this is totally up to you. We want to ensure our guests don’t have to put their hands in their pockets for anything. Paying something into the donation box is voluntary for you, however, compulsory for us. Please don’t feel obligated to put in a donation.
Notice your thoughts, notice your feelings, listen to the conversations, most of your senses will be working on overdrive right now. Sight, sound, touch and smell. When you have “gotten” what you came to Terunyan Wall for (everyone gets something beyond looking at skulls) your boat will be waiting to take you across the lake to the Rejeng Bali Jetty. No rush, take your time.
