    • 1 Day
    • Private Tour
    • Chiang Rai & Chiang Mai

Chiang Mai is a beautiful city by itself, but some of its most delightful treasures lie just an hour’s drive away. Take a drive through rice paddies and rolling hills to explore some of the most beautiful landmarks of Northern Thailand. Climb up a waterfall formed out of non-slip stones and splash around in one of its tiered basins. Visit a sanctuary to interact and play with elephants that have been rescued from a life of work. Find peace at the top of the world at Doi Suthep, a Buddhist temple built at the top of a mountain overlooking the city.

This full day tour includes lunch, as well as an expert English-speaking tour guide and driver who will facilitate pickup and drop off at your hotel or at the Chiang Mai airport.

    Doi Suthep Temple

Sitting majestically atop a mountain, the awe-inspiring Doi Suthep temple is one of the holiest Buddhist landmarks in Thailand. Climb to the top of the naga serpent staircase, framed by lush jungle foliage, for sweeping views of the surrounding landscape.

The temple grounds are full of Buddhist shrines and bells, engravings and sculptures, and crowned by an enormous gilded Chedi that glistens in the sun. The murals and statues scattered throughout the grounds depict the life of the Buddha and scenes from Thai myths, including the famous legend of how this very temple was founded.

    Sticky Waterfall

Enjoy a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to climb safely up the face of a waterfall, while cool water cascades over your hands and feet! The waterfall is nicknamed for the grippy rocks that make up its three tiers. Rough, but not sharp, these rocks prohibit algae growth, allowing you to climb easily and safely up to the top of the falls!

Speed down the man-made steps to jump into the natural diving pool, and then clamber back up the “sticky” rocks to the top like Spiderman. These incredible waterfalls are a must-see in Chiang Mai, whether you want to swim, climb, hike, or simply relax and enjoy a view of the surrounding jungle.

Maerim Elephant Sanctuary **Join The Group Tour

Meet elephants in real life, at a sanctuary where they are rescued and provided with a better life. These gigantic creatures are clever and perceptive, with complex social lives and feelings. Learn about their natural behavior and observe them interacting with one another before meeting them individually. Feed them their favourite snacks to make friends — elephants love to eat, and the way to everyone’s heart is through their stomach! After the feeding session, head down to the river to help give them a bath…elephants love to play in the water almost as much as they like to eat!
