We, at the VoyageOn team, are passionate about our job and about the beautiful cities where we operate. Unique architecture, great food, exciting history and well-hidden gems attract visitors to our destinations. As a team, we commit to responsible and sustainable travel and implement it across our entire operation. We support local businesses, sustainable practices and cultural acceptance, and we believe that it contributes to a better experience.
Join us for a Hungarian food walk and get an introduction to our unique gastronomy beyond the well know Gulash soup – which we are not tasting on this tour 🙂 We will start our visit with the basics at the unmissable Central Market Hall and while admiring the beautiful architecture and the vendors’ seasonal offers, we will briefly introduce you to our culinary heritage.
Next we are heading to downtown to grab some sweet treats from our best chocolate manufacturer, or have a hand made ice cream, depending of the season and your preference.
Next on the table is a real Hungarian treat, a. delicacy that only the bravest try.
Surely you will need a refreshing drink after all this..
Feeling thirsty yet? Your guide takes you to a Ruin Bar next for a refreshing spritzer and an education in Hungarian drinks. Our foodie adventure then takes us through the Jewish district, where we admire the largest and most beautiful synagogue in Europe and enjoy a tasting of local food as we learn about typical Jewish food and traditions.
From there, we’ll cross the World Heritage-listed Andrássy Avenue and make our way to one of our favourite local restaurants – tasting a mouth watering, world famous local dish and a genuine Hungarian dessert. We’ll finish our Budapest food tour happily full of some of the best stories and food in town.
