Experience an engaging, walking ghost lantern tour also known as vampire or ghost walk in downtown Traverse City. Your tour will be led by a costumed and experienced walking tour guide. This tour will weave history, ghost stories, and the paranormal stories in this fully packed ghost tour.

You don’t have to believe in ghosts to enjoy a good ghost story! Cynics are welcome! The history of Traverse City, buildings, and stories of those that lived before us are sure to entertain everyone!

Tour Information

All purchases are 100% refundable up to 24 hours in advance. No refunds within 24 hours of tour start time.   Haunted tours are in English and have limited number of spots on tour to keep tour size small.  After purchase, you will receive a confirmation email of purchase and information on when and where to meet!

This is an outdoor walking tour through downtown Traverse City Michigan and covers the subjects of the macabre, supernatural, and paranormal. The walking ghost tour is  90 minutes long and is approximately 1.5 miles in length. There are some stops along the way where a short rest is possible. This tour will operate rain or shine. Please dress for the weather. 

If a tour must be cancelled due to extreme weather, cancellations of tour will be determined 60 minutes prior to tour start time. Guests will be notified via the email provided when tickets were purchased.

We stop at 8 locations including the Perry Hannah House, Carnegie Library, WTCM Building, City Opera House and State Theater.  A short ghost hunt using EMF and Thermal Temperature Readers at Traverse City first “Official Cemetery.” Locations and length of ghost hunt may change at the discretion of the tour guide.

Your tour guide is a local resident of Traverse City and will meet you 10 minutes prior to the start of your tour.  You will know  your guide because the guide is dressed in a steampunk costume-a nod to the industry of Traverse City-and will be carrying a lantern. Please be patient if you arrive before your tour guide, they will be coming from work or another tour!
