Hey there! Tasty Tours is Toronto’s award-winning food tour and chocolate tour company. But more importantly, our mission is to share the city with you like how we would with our best friends – treating you to the best food experience in Toronto, and leaving you with memories to savour for years to come.
On each tour, your guide will take you on a walk around a Toronto neighbourhood. You’ll be introduced to various eateries, feasting on a variety of edible delights while learning tidbits of food and Toronto history. Yum, please!
COVID-19 update: In keeping with the current government restrictions, our tours are closed at the moment. Buy an e-gift certificate instead and give yourself or someone else a delicious present they can ‘unwrap’ at any time. It’s the perfect holiday present for the adventurous foodie in your life, and will give them something to look forward to after the craziness is over!
COVID-19 notice: For your safety, we are going above and beyond the government guidelines and are capping our tours at a maximum of 5 participants! All guests are required to wear masks and we strongly recommend each group bring their own hand sanitizer.
Tasty Tours has been hosting food tours for 9 years and this is the worst we’ve seen. But Kensington Market, like it’s immigrant heritage, is full of survivors. Find out what makes Kensington so special, and let’s support them together! We may not be able to travel internationally, but still we’ll travel:
1. Around the world, locally – we’ll sample a variety of ethnic eats in the multi-cultural enclave of Kensington Market, including a stop in Chinatown. In between bites, feast your eyes on the mom-and-pop businesses, brightly coloured graffiti murals and gourmet food shops that lure locals and visitors alike. Come with an appetite, as you’ll have enough samples for lunch!
2. Through time – we’ll trace the history of the market from its origins as a Jewish market to hip neighbourhood to the current coronavirus challenges, weaved through the stories of the stores we visit, from Alan’s cafe to Aunty’s bakery.
3. Through perspectives – we’ve got the insider edge, from special foods made just for our group, to secret photo spots in the market. After our day together, you will become an insider too!
Plus, taste the famous Toronto Truffle™ (Toffle™), an exclusive dessert invented by us. Inspired by the flavours of Toronto and Canada, the Toffle is a decadent cross between a maple butter tart and a chocolate truffle. You can only get this on a Tasty Tour!
“This tour was great! I am from the Toronto area but wanted a unique birthday gift for a friend. I googled and found this tour and the amount of great reviews was what sold me on it and I couldn’t be happier! We had an absolutely great day. The food was AMAZING, it was a great mix of sweet and savoury and you learned about the area, the market, food origins, how they are made, about the restaurants and about the owners. I would recommend this tour to anyone and I would do it again! You get great portions and feel like you got what you paid for. Amazing tour!” – 5-star TripAdvisor Review
