Over the last 2 years we have enjoyed showing visitors around our bit of Scotland and creating amazing cycling holiday experiences. We love doing the unusual, the things other companies don’t do – we have backgrounds in art, photography, farming and ecology with a bit of bushcraft as well.
Kirkcudbright is one of Scotland’s most vibrant small towns and right in the heart of great cycling country. We call it home for our single base holidays, our HUB ROUTES. We are not the first, many before have also called it home; from Celtic tribes to the Roman General Agricola, the Galloway Picts, St. Cuthbert and more recently a flourishing colony of artists and crafts people.
We love its pastel coloured houses, the castle and the fact that it still has real family shops and a working harbour. We partner with the best of hotels, B&Bs and self-catering accommodation so you can choose the type of accommodation that suits you. You can ride out along the coast, into the hills or a bit of both. Every day you get to pick from a range of 10, 20, 30, 40 mile or further rides. If you don’t want to ride then we have walking tours, cook school, studio visits we can organize or enjoy the shops, galleries and cafes.
The transfer from Lockerbie/Dumfries and back is not included in the price, but we are happy to arrange or provide it if desired.
We have the unique opportunity to arrange a number of self-catering accommodation in Kirkcudbright which can sleep from 2 – 10 people. Therefore, prices range widely depending on the size of your party and the month you wish to visit.
Please get in touch with us if you prefer to stay in one of Kirkcudbright’s other holiday accommodations.
A two night stay or as long as you like, Kirkcudbright is your perfect base. You can train like a pro or take a leisurely pedal, or just see how you feel on the day and decide then.
When we settled on Kirkcudbright to be our cycling hub we both had the thought – yes, of course, perfect, just perfect. We want you to ride the coast but also pedal into the hills, and also have the cool stuff to do on days off.
You can pick your distance, most are loop rides, but there are rides where we will drop you off and you ride the slope or the wind back home.
If you are here with a group – it’s just perfect to do different rides and meet up later.
You want a little more – want a guide to lead you? We can do that. Want to do mountain biking? Got it covered and an instructor to tune up your skills. Just let us know, and give us some notice.
It’s not always about the bike. For rest days, lazy days and for non-cycling pals or significant others, Kirkcudbright offers wonderful things. Cafes, river walks and antique shops to browse. If you want things a bit more organized, options include cooking school, archaeology digs, or distillery tours. There is always another castle or garden to visit or perhaps some spa treatment.
