Your Hornbill adventure begins today as we set off from our overnight accommodations in Kampala and make the lovely journey to Murchison Falls National Park. Upon arrival, drive to the Top of the Falls for a picnic lunch and a spectacular view of the narrow gorge through which the mighty Nile cascades nearly 150 feet down. Here the Nile can be seen from various points all the way to Baker’s Summit. Dinner and overnight at Paraa Safari Lodge. Meal plan includes lunch and dinner.
Enjoy an early breakfast before embarking on a game drive to the delta in search of the exquisite wildlife Murchison Falls has to offer. You may decide to take a game walk, escorted by a park ranger, to track wildlife in the region. After lunch, see river life at its best as we take a leisurely cruise up the Nile, resting near the bottom of the waterfall for the best view of Murchison Falls. Wildlife on the Nile includes Nile crocodiles, buffalo, hippo, and a variety of birds. Afterwards, return to your hotel for dinner and overnight stay.
Wake up to an early breakfast and then depart Murchison Falls National Park for the magnificent Budongo forest. We will take a half-day forest walk in search of primates; during the walk, you may see Black and White Colobus monkey, Red-tailed monkey, Grey-cheeked Mangabeys, and chimpanzee. After stopping for lunch in Masindi, we will continue our trip, by car, to Kampala. Meals include breakfast.
