At Babylon Tours we are dedicated to providing you with the best that each of our cities has to offer. Our local English speaking guides are experts on the landmarks and museums that they’ll visit with you. They will share a mix of historical information, scandalous stories, and surprising details whether you’re browsing the Louvre or strolling Amsterdam’s canals. At the end, you’ll have enjoyed yourself so much that you won’t even realize how the hours have passed, and you’ll be on your way to becoming a local expert yourself.
Skip the line at the gorgeous Musée d’Orsay and enjoy an exclusive guided tour through this repurposed train station and a collection of paintings by some of the world’s most famous artists, including Monet, Renoir and Van Gogh!
Join us for a 2-2.5 hour journey through the Musée d’Orsay, the home of iconic paintings by the likes of Manet, Degas and Van Gogh. During this private walking tour, you’ll have plenty of time to engage with our passionate guides, as they lead you through this century-old former train station to learn more about the artistic upheavals that helped give rise to the Impressionists and their colorful pieces. If you’d like to avoid the crowds, be sure to check out our Thursday evening visit.
As you explore the museum, you’ll learn about forerunners to the Impressionists like Millet and his masterwork “The Gleaners”; admire Manet’s scandalous “Luncheon on the Grass” and Renoir’s “Dance at Le Moulin de la Galette”; take in the beauty of Van Gogh’s “Starry Night”; and gaze at pieces by Monet, including his famous poppies. We promise you windmills, lily pads, ballerinas and more!
