Experience the wonderful and unique city of Edinburgh with our private tour. The Capital of Scotland dates back as far as the 13th century and is filled with an inspiring and huge amount of facts and history.
Edinburgh is a very compact city combined with beautiful sweeping elegant victorian buildings in the Georgian New Town, to medieval tenements, wynds and closes in the Old Town, full of stories and tales over the years.
Visit Scotland’s most famous landmark that sits at the top of the Royal Mile, Edinburgh Castle, dominating the city skyline with some of the buildings dating back as far as the 12th century.
Travel down the Royal mile taking in the history and views of Lawnmarket and the rest of the Royal Mile before you get to the bottom where you’ll find the 17th century Holyroodhouse Palace, alongside this there is the Scottish Parliament building and the prehistoric extinct volcano famously known as Arthur’s Seat that sits proudly in Holyrood Park.
This is just a fraction of the Old Town that you’ll have the chance to explore on your private tour, coupled with tours of the Grassmarket to Victoria street, famous stories of Burke and Hare, Deacon Brodie to the location of where Harry Potter was first created and of course a wee famous Scottish dug Bobby to name but a few.
Filling the rest of the day with visits through the beautiful Georgian new town and Dean Village that sits on the famous water of Leith, where today you can still see where eleven mills once provided much to Edinburgh’s economy.
This private day tour can be modified and custom made to suit you, perhaps you would like to visit South Queensferry or Rosslyn Chapel or include a tour of the newly opened Edinburgh distillery to sample the whisky and Gin. A day filled with great opportunities for some beautiful photo pit stops of this fantastic city, so please don’t hesitate to ask the driver for the very best locations.
