    Day 1Arrive Jaipur

    Arrive in Jaipur and check-in at your beautifully restored heritage accommodation. Do a tour of historical side of Jaipur. Visit Amer Fort and Hawa Mahal after an early lunch. Rest of the evening will be available at leisure.

    Note: As part of our sustainable tourism practices, we don’t support animal slavery. Therefore, we don’t offer elephant rides at Amer fort. The fort is great to explore on foot.

    Day 2Walking tours of Jaipur

    Morning tour of the old town: This was the capital of Kacchawaha Rajputs. This tour will take you through the most beautiful temples, old havelis, cenotaphs, mosques and a step well. Visit the ancestral house of a Rajput family followed by a demonstration of bangle making in the traditional way as bangles play an integral part in the lives of Rajput women.

    Evening arts and crafts tour of Jaipur: This tour starts with the city palace, and then takes you through the obscure by-lanes where you will find artisans of best marble statues, enamel art, lacquer bangles, Thatheras (brass artifact makers), Pannigars (silver and gold foil makers) and Neelgars (tie and die textile makers). We also do a little local snacks tasting on this walking tour.

    Day 3Arrive Bundi

    Drive from Jaipur to Bundi. Check-in and spend afternoon at leisure. Go for a tour of Bundi palace which is untouched by any major restoration, and gives you an authentic glimpse of the bygone era. Know the stories around Rajput Kingdom and their constant love/hate relationship with Mughal Empire. Know about the Bundi style of painting and listen to our storytelling on them as you see the original wall frescoes.

    Bundi painting workshop: In this workshop, not only you can see an artist making the fine paintings, but also participate yourself.

    Day 4Countryside and the tribal villages

    Full day visit to the countryside. Explore pre-historic rock paintings, waterfalls, and visit villages of Bhil tribes. The countryside of Bundi is very green in contrast to the common notion of Rajasthan. You may encounter vast expanses of rice and rose plantations, and occasional wildlife.

    We stop at many small villages where you may see shops preparing and selling fresh sweets and brewing up tea in earthen pots, people gathered around a tree smoking the Indian Hookah, and women attending to their children. Whichever village you cross, you will notice a concoction of colours right from the dressing of men and women to the paints put up on the walls of houses. We do storytelling on the local customs, dresses and turbans, and festivals.

    Day 5Arrive Udaipur

    Drive from Jaipur to Udaipur. Check-in at your luxury hotel and spend the day at leisure. We recommend exploring the old town and lakeside by yourself.

    Day 6Udaipur city tours

    Morning tour of the Udaipur city palace, lake Pichola, Saheliyon-ki-bari, and Jagdish temple. You are free to take the tour at your own pace. If the time permits, visit the Fateh Sagar lake and museum of vintage cars.

    Afternoon tour of the street markets, local food outlets, and local tie-and-dye and block printing artists. Visit the artists and see how the cloth is dyed in indigo and how the local patterns are hand printed on the cloth.

    Day 7Arrive Ranakpur

    Drive from Udaipur to Ranakpur. Before you arrive at the next accommodation, visit the Rankapur Jain temple.

    Days 8 & 9 The life of nomadic camel herders

    Visit the Kumbhalgarh fort that has the world’s largest wall after the Great wall of China. If the time permits, visit the villages of the Garasia tribe.

    Spend a day with the Raika tribal community who are traditionally nomadic camel herders. Visit the nomadic community and learn their local folk tales, taste camel milk and tea, and learn about the daily life of the tribe. Know about the camel and community conservation activities.

    Day 10Arrive Jodhpur

    Drive from Kumbhalgarh to Jodhpur. Today we go for a tour of surrounding villages where you visit carpet weavers, potters, and the houses of the tribes. Rest of the day at leisure.

    Day 11Jodhpur city tour

    Visit the Jodhpur city. Go for a walking tour of the old blue city, visit the houses of families and have a tea over conversations. We do storytelling on the local life, food, and the customs in general.

    Visit the Mehrangarh fort and Jaswant Thada museum.

    Day 12Experience desert life in Osian

    Experience the Thar desert and ancient Jain temples of Osian. Go for a camel back or camel cart ride and visit the villages of the Jat community in the desert. Visit the families, have a meal, and experience the desert life during this tour.

    Day 13Arrive Jaisalmer

    Drive from Jodhpur to Jaisalmer. Arrive in the evening with rest of the day at leisure to rest or explore the neighborhood on your own.

    Day 14Tour of Jaisalmer city and countryside

    Early morning walking tour of the old city lanes where you get to see the stunning architecture of Jaisalmer yellow stone. We stop to taste various snacks that are freshly prepared and explore the early morning life in Jaisalmer’s residential areas.

    Visit the Gadsisar lake and Patwa haveli, a collection of stunning yellow stone mansions belonging to the erstwhile Jain merchants.

    Visit the cenotaphs of the rulers of Jaisalmer and the Kuldhara ghost town which was once inhabited by the Paliwal community. End the day with a tour of the Jaisalmer fort.

    Day 15Departure

    Drop to Jaisalmer airport after breakfast.
