    Day 2Round walk Jasna Valley

Today starts out passing the first of many lakes, Lake Jasna with the jagged peaks of the Julian Alps behind it. Don’t worry you will come back this way later for now you will continue through the Jasna valley where you will be welcomed by the glorious mountain arena of the Prisank and Razor Mountains.  Returning then via the “Russian Chapel” which is dedicated to the Russian POWs who died during WWI building the military road over the Vrsic Pass.

Day 3Cycling to Bled via Kranjska Gora

    40km

For your third day, you will head back into the heart of the Triglav National Park. The route takes you alongside the Sava Dolinka River as it cuts its way south to join the Sava Bohinjka, where it becomes the Sava River, the longest in Slovenia. From Mojstrana you will head into the Karma Valley. This lush green valley leads through a peaceful forest littered with WW2 monuments and traditional farmhouses, one of which has been adapted into a museum. You can have lunch in the mountain hut at the foot of Triglav, the mightiest mountain in the Julian Alps, and enjoy the breathtaking scenery deep in the heart of this beautiful alpine landscape. As you exit the valley, take a short detour to the stunning 1.6km Vintgar Gorge, carved 150m deep into the mountains by the Radovna River.

    Day 4Cycling Lake Bled

    35km

Today’s biking tour goes alongside Jelovica high-plateau and Sava River, some easy undemanding hills. Old smithies’ village of Kropa with a museum, bee-keeping museum in Radovljica. Take your lunch in an old-fashioned restaurant next to the castle in Radovljica.

    Day 5 Rafting Lake Bled

This trip is suitable for all, no extra experience or equipment needed. A free afternoon in Bled. Time to explore Bled – its Lake, island church, the castle on the rock. We liked: cream cake in Park hotel – famous in all central Europe.

    12km

Today you will be driven by car up to the Pokljuka Plateau from which you will begin your hike across mountain pastures and old farmhouses where you will come to a viewing point providing outstanding views into the Bohinj Valley. As you descend you can stop at the little historic village of Studor where you can visit the museum and see how people lived 150 years ago. Your final destination is Lake Bohinj, the jewel in the heart of the Triglav National Park, and the small settlement of Ribčev Laz (Fisherman’s Pass).

Spend a lazy afternoon on one of the hidden beaches of this tranquil place. We liked: local pubs with excellent lake trout, cable car ride up Vogel mountain – 1532 metres high.
