    Our Three Day Standup Paddle Board, Via Ferrata & River Bugging Private Adventure Tour is a great way to explore some epic natural venues in two very different areas of Scotland – the Highlands and West Coast.

    Skill Level

    Guests should be comfortable with cold water and heights, all detailed safety instruction will be given throughout your activity.

    Be Prepared

    You will need good outdoor clothing for mixed weather, training shoes or similar for use in water activities.

    Support Team

    Myself and all guides used are fully qualified and certified to a high standard of skill and safety.

    Equipment

    Outdoor gear, Safety equipment.
    All activity specific clothing and equipment will be supplied.
    It is essential to bring your own footwear for activities.

    Itinerary

    Day 1Arrival

    You will be collected from our arranged point by myself in our luxury minibus to get the day started in style.

    From here we will go directly to the heart of Scotland, and a morning wake up walk in either the Birks of Aberfeldy or Falls of Acharn (your choice or the weathers choice:), the Famous Birks of Aberfeldy popularised in a song by Robert Burns, this fine walk up the steep gorge of the Moness burn reveals several waterfalls and stunning views of the valley, and the Falls of Acharn a spectacular wooded gorge with tumbling waterfalls and hermits cave.

    We will aim to have our packed lunch (supplied) after this walk on the shore of Loch Tay for a chance to recharge before a little more activity.

    Then for some Standup Paddle Boarding on Loch Tay with myself to get a real feel of the wide open spaces on offer in this wonderful country.
    You will finish off the adventures with a Sauna session overlooking Loch Tay, taking in the views of the Loch, surrounding hillsides, ancient loch dwellings, and mysterious islands, time to relax and unwind after a fantastic days adventure.

    The sauna Fired by a giant crackling wood burner, lined in aspen and with panoramic windows stretching 40′ along it’s length, its the perfect place to relax whilst you take in the magnificent views across the Loch & hill ground beyond. You can relax in the fully tiled steam room and let the stresses and strains of every day life melt away, then chill out in the Hydro Pool, large enough for 30 people, The perfect place to unwind with a glass of beer or bubbly.

    You will then be dropped off at your accommodation in the local area for the night, to be fed and rested ready for the next days adventure.

    Day 2Kinlochleven and the Via Ferrata Course

    Starting day 2 we head west to Kinlochleven and the Via Ferrata course, travelling through the stunning Glencoe, nestled in an idyllic setting only 7 miles east of the magnificent Glencoe, the town of Kinlochleven is popular with climbers and winter sports enthusiasts alike.

    Via Ferrata, this unique and exciting activity runs beside the third biggest waterfall in Scotland, equipped with fixed cables, staples, ladders and bridges, this route allow users to access this spectacular environment without the risks associated with unprotected scrambling and climbing.

    Then for Lunch with a visit to a local seafood restaurant (meal cost not included) to refuel and the journey back to our accommodation, with the rest of the afternoon to enjoy some local walks and beauty spots.

    Day 3Spean Gorge

    Day three is the last days of our adventure tour, and it ends with a spectacular journey down the Spean Gorge in our own wee river bugs, The Grand Canyon of the West Coast is a full day tour down the River Spean. Its steep sided walls and friendly grade 3 rapids make it an amazing adventure. With drinks and snacks taken along with us we can stay fresh and fueled up.

    We will stop at a local eatery for a late lunch early dinner to look back over the last three days adventure, and prepair for the journey home, delivered back to your chosen destination relaxed and happy from your adventures (to be discussed on booking).
