This tour is provided by

Taste of Toulouse

Help preserve a taste of place. By going on a Taste of Toulouse tour, you’ll also be supporting hard-working and talented local artisans and businesses that are, in turn, supporting the community and preserving the rich gastronomic heritage of SW France. I pick the locations we visit based on the quality of their products and service – not on cost – and spend generously at those businesses both on and off my tours.

  • approx. 2 hours
  • Afternoons in December
  • maximum 8 people

Experience the magic of the holidays in Toulouse on this Christmas walking tour through the Sweets of the Season!

Wander the charming cobblestone streets of Toulouse, delighting in the most succulent sweets on offer during the Christmas season! We’ll visit talented artisan chocolatiers and candy-makers, then end at the Marché de Noël for a hot drink and photos against a backdrop of stunning Christmas lights. An experience the whole family can enjoy!

Afternoons from 4:30-6:30 pm during the month of December (see booking schedule for exact days). Contact me if you’re interested in weekend dates, as they will continue to be added as business opening hours permit.

Price Includes

  • Guided small group Christmas tour of Toulouse
  • Food and drink samples

All food and drink samples provided on the tour. We will be eating a lot of sweet things, so consider only having a light lunch/snack to balance out the sugar intake. The descriptions above are meant to give you a general idea of what to expect. What we actually eat/drink may vary based on availability.

Price Excludes

Additional food and drink that you wish to purchase yourself. If we have a larger group, I discourage shopping during the tour, so that we can keep moving. However, you’ll receive an email after the tour with a list of locations visited and what we tasted at each so that you can return later to continue your “research.”

45 € for adults, 35 € for children aged 5-12

Book with confidence!

We offer free changes or cancellations up to 48 hours before the start of our small group tours.

Tour details

Tours operate rain or shine! We will be walking at least 2 km along beautiful – but uneven – cobblestone streets. Most of the tour is spent walking or standing, as most of the locations that we visit don’t have seating. Please contact me directly regarding accessibility issues, as not all stops may be wheelchair accessible.

Meeting location

We’ll meet very close to one of the major landmarks in the city center, easily accessible by metro. Exact location and detailed directions will be emailed along with your ticket confirmation. The tour ends at the Toulouse Christmas market in the Place du Capitole

What to Wear or Bring

We will be walking at least 2 km along cobblestone streets, so comfortable shoes and weather-appropriate clothing is a must. Please dress appropriately (and bring an umbrella if necessary) to make sure you enjoy your time on the tour. We may sit down from time to time, but be prepared to spend most of the tour standing or walking. Again, comfortable clothing and shoes is a must.

To reduce environmental waste, I don’t distribute plastic water bottles, so if you would like water during the tour, please bring a reusable water bottle with you. Some of the locations may provide water, but it is not guaranteed at all stops.

Dietary Restrictions/Food Allergies

This tour is vegetarian and non-alcoholic (unless you choose spiced wine as your drink at the end of the tour). I am also happy to accommodate the following diets with advance notice:

  • Gluten-free (NOT Celiac)
  • Nut allergies (unless cross-contamination is a serious issue)

Any of the above dietary requirements MUST be noted when booking to allow time to make arrangements for substitutions. I ask that those with dietary restrictions book tours at least 48 hours in advance! If you are vegan, please contact me in advance of booking to discuss your options. If you have any questions regarding dietary accommodations or would like to see if I can accommodate other restrictions or food allergies (I often can – please ask!), email me directly at [email protected] before booking.

Please review your order and the tour details carefully before booking. Tickets are refundable or exchangeable until 48 hours prior to the start time of the tour. I am happy to give you a refund, reschedule your reservation for another date (pending availability), convert your reservation to a voucher, or reassign your tickets to another person with at least 48 hours notice. Any changes MUST be communicated in writing to [email protected]

Alternate Tour Dates/Times

Tickets for the small groups tours go on sale 3 months in advance to allow time to confirm upcoming availability.

Interested in taking the Chocolate & Pastry tour on a different day and/or time? Contact me for availability and pricing. I’m very often able to add additional dates according to interest.
