Golden Route through the Bohemian Paradise

A walking route that connects the most interesting and special areas of the Bohemian Paradise (CZ: Český ráj). In Czech the route is called Zlatá stezka Českého ráje, literally translated as the golden route of the Bohemian Paradise. The Bohemian Paradise has been a Protected Landscape (CHKO in Czech) since 1995. The term Bohemian Paradise is also used for the whole region that lies between the places Jičín, Sobotka, Mnichovo Hradiště, Kopanina, Železný Brod and Lomnice nad Popelkou. The Bohemian Paradise got its name around 1870 from the often well-to-do guests of the then world famous ‘Spa Sedmihorky’. Gradually, the name was picked up by the locals.
