A full days adventure (Waterfalls Woodlands & Lochside Walk) enjoying some of Highland Perthshire’s hidden gems, woodlands, waterfalls and walks.
We will get the day going with your morning pick-up from your hotel or arranged collection point by myself in our luxury minibus.
From here we travel directly into the heart of Scotland to our first walk and waterfall – Rumbling Bridge over the River Braan, this will be a great place to have a stretch and snack to get the days adventure started.
Then we will travel over the high road towards Loch Tay and the Falls of Acharn a spectacular wooded gorge with tumbling waterfalls and hermits cave – after this, we will stop for our picnic lunch on the shores of the stunning Loch Tay to relax and take in the views of the surrounding hillsides, ancient loch dwellings, and mysterious islands.
Fed and rested we head off to our next destination…
Our next destination is in Aberfeldy (the heart of Scotland) and to the Famous Birks of Aberfeldy popularised in a song by Robert Burns, the fine walk up the steep gorge of the Moness burn reveals several waterfalls and stunning views of the valley.
We will then depart to our final destination towards the historic town of Dunkeld and The Hermitage, walk through towering Douglas firs to the folly of Ossian’s Hall, and gaze over the falls and soak up the surrounding nature of this National Trust for Scotland-protected site.
This marks the end of our adventure, we will return to your chosen drop off point in Edinburgh and time for a well-earned rest to reflect on the day’s adventure, sights, and sounds.
You will be returned to Edinburgh to your chosen point of departure.
Option for dinner booking in the Aberfeldy area possible – please advise if required.
